Procrastinators

so the Procrastinators Holiday Art Bazaar at the M-Room was a good time. i didn't have a chair at first so i was just standing or kneeling until i got a bit tired of people offering me a chair so i accepted the only one available which happened to be the tallest one in the room. i was sitting higher than my table top. i felt a little goofy.
i have put up all my Sculpey Couples on my etsy (www.themapleridge.etsy.com) so you can swing by and check those out. one of my favorite things about posting my stuff on etsy is coming up with a description for my stuff. just let the mind wander.

and so it continues

so i've created a few more sculpey couples (i really need to come up with a better name for these things) as well as some more sketches from the sketchbook.
this saturday i'll be participating in Procrastinators Craft Bazaar at the M-Room on Girard and the sculpey couples that don't sell there will all end up on my etsy (www.themapleridge.etsy.com).

Standard Tap

So the Standard Tap show yesterday was pretty fun. I had some new drawings and new figures. I made 6 couples that i think turned out pretty nice, particularly the guy with the shotgun!
I'll be participating in another Positive Spaces show called "Procrastinator's Holiday Bazaar 2" at the M-Room at 15 W. Girard Ave. here in Philadelphia on Saturday December 20th from 11:30am to 5pm. You can check out Positive Spaces website at www.positivespace.net to see what they're keeping themselves busy with.
I Also may be doing a show on Saturday the 13th, but I'm not sure yet. I'll post it if I am.
until then...

Indie Market

and so...
Last weekend was a great time. I participated in the Indie Market in Rochester, NY put on by the fine people of Second Storie (http://www.secondstorie.net/). I met a ton of great people there. If you go to the Second Storie site and click "vendors" you can check them all out. I highly recommend it. Go! Go now! Get to the Choppuh!!
So i've dropped in some photos on the show...well, my booth and what I was selling. (shaaaaameleeeeeeess).
I have another show this weekend at the Standard Tap (901 N. 2nd Street in Philadelphia). I'm looking forward to it especially since I busted by butt this week trying to replenish my stock. well, that and I since it's at the Standard Tap I can grab a pint while I sell. I'll post pictures of that show afterwards.

BEAST MASTER

so i had hubcap out front wednesday night to deuce it up and i looked across the street and thought i saw a possum walking along in the snow. i got a little freaked because it was light out and that would most likely mean the thing had a few too many rabies sandwiches and i'd have to call animal control. but when i looked closely it was just a big white ferret. odd. it went into the garage across the street from my house. i called up the pet store two blocks away and asked if anybody had reported a missing ferret and she said yeah, a big white one. the thing had been missing since friday morning and here it is late wednesday evening. so i get the owner's name and number and then go over and find the little guy in the garage with the help of one of the people that rents the house across the street. we found him no problem and luckily i still have a big ferret cage at the house so put him in. hubcap was on edge something fierce. i gave the owner a call twice, but had to get to work at 9:30 so he called me back thursday morning and was able to pick him up that evening. he was really happy to have his ferret back--it's one of 5 he has. gave me 50 bucks for rescuing the little guy. i tried to refuse, but he told me he'd just come back over the weekend and stick it in the mailbox. the ferret's name was ivan. i think Commander Snausage would've been a better name.

MOOSTACHE'!

so those were just 4 of the 87 pictures i took of myself while slowly shaving off my big beard. i love taking offle pictures of myself like that. sarah can't stand it, but she looked through them all anyway and laughed quite a bit. it's amazing how creeping a soul patch/mustache combo can really be. i almost can't wait to grow the beard back so i can do it all over again.
